Nishith Dayal · Co-Founder, Eleventh Door Studio
Film Director, generative AI creator and creative director with 17+ years in visual storytelling, media production and creative technology.
I'm the co-founder of Eleventh Door Studio, where I direct original Gen-AI films and lead creative work for brands and agencies. My journey spans VFX, hands-on filmmaking and building media businesses with my brother, Divesh Dayal, always bringing storytelling and technology together.
Before Eleventh Door
Creative Crow Productions
I launched my first production firm in 2014 while freelancing with VFX studios and experimenting with Python scripts, custom gizmos and colour LUTs. Creative Crow Productions grew out of that mix of craft and technology, creating cinematic brand films and campaign videos during the DSLR revolution.
Slick Media
I then teamed up with Divesh to scale operations through Slick Media. Across the two companies, we delivered brand films, product launches, digital campaigns and behind-the-scenes event coverage across India, alongside 3D animation, motion graphics and end-to-end production and post-production.
The AI reset · 2021–2024
After the pandemic, we stepped back from traditional production to invest in learning and experimentation, from prompt engineering and diffusion models to digital humans and AI video. That reinvention laid the groundwork for the AI-first creative practice I now lead at Eleventh Door Studio.
At Eleventh Door Studio, that production experience now informs AI-generated storyboards, previsualisation, digital characters and original films, combining a filmmaker's eye with scalable creative workflows. That eye has been recognised along the way: my photography and cinematography have won many awards.
Since 2021 I've worked hands-on with generative AI (Runway, Kling, Sora and ComfyUI), producing hyper-realistic ad films, storyboards and automated visual content for studios, agencies and brands worldwide. My recent milestones include shipping original AI-generated films end-to-end (concept to final frame with ComfyUI, ControlNet, Runway ML, Kling, ElevenLabs and Premiere), building AI agents for real production use-cases, and publishing real-world AI use cases weekly on LinkedIn to make AI adoption practical for creatives, agencies and studios.

Latest wins
CHANAKYA – The Emperor's Gambit: an AI film rooted in Indian history, made entirely in-house at Eleventh Door Studio: script, direction, AI production, editing, music and finishing.
Selected for the Create with AI programme, supported by Google, YouTube and the Indian Institute of Creative Technologies (IICT).
Recognised at the YouTube Impact Summit, where the film was showcased among four AI-enabled Indian short films.
